Finding & Using Permalinks

Permalinks, short for "permanent links", offers a stable link that is assigned to a specific article by the database. Using the permalink makes getting back to an article much easier.

Finding a Permalink in JSTOR

How to find the permalink in a JSTOR record:

  1. Once you find an article that you want to use, locate the Stable URL on the left:
  2. copy the Stable URL (CTRL C in PC or Command C in Mac, or you can right-click on the highlighted URL and select “Copy.”). Paste link into your document (CTRL V in PC, Command V in Mac).
