Finding & Using Permalinks

Permalinks, short for "permanent links", offers a stable link that is assigned to a specific article by the database. Using the permalink makes getting back to an article much easier.

Finding Permalinks in Gale Databases

  • Once you find a source that you want, look at the top menu of the page. Click on Get Link.
  • A small box should appear on the screen. Highlight the link.
  • Copy the link using Control-C for PC or Command-C for Mac. Or you can right-click on the highlighted URL and select “Copy.” Paste the link into your document.
     
  • Close the box by clicking on the square at the top right corner of the box.
