Swirbul Family Friendly Space

In support of our students who are parents and recognizing their need to balance school and caregiving responsibilities, the University has established this Family Friendly Space. In order to use the Space, the following rules need to be respected:

• This Space has been designed for use by student-parents and their children. Students without accompanying children are permitted to use the Space; however please yield priority to those who have children with them.
• Children are to be supervised at all times. Library staff cannot oversee children, nor be responsible for their safety.
• Parents/guardians are responsible for their children's safety and behavior. Please be respectful of other library patrons.
• Children are NOT to be left unattended. If an unsupervised child comes to the attention of library personnel, Adelphi University Public Safety will be contacted.
• If you are using the Space with small children, please be sure to close the gate.
