Citation Searching

Citation Searching

Some databases allow cited reference searching. Start with a relevant article that you already have and find all of its references as well as all articles that have cited it.

The multidisciplinary Scopus database enables cited reference searching. See this guide to citation searching from the University of Adelaide: Citation Searching with Scopus. Search forward or backward in time, going from one relevant article to many. View the references of relevant articles, as well as the "cited by" articles of relevant articles.

Google Scholar also has a link to references cited wthin a specific paper as well as a link to articles that have cited the paper. For maximum full text retrieval, access Google Scholar from the Libraries website.
