Open Access and Scholarly Communication

Through the Office of the Provost, Adelphi University offers funding to help faculty pay for the fees and charges often associated with OA publishing.

Full-time faculty can apply for up to $2000 to defray the article processing charges at eligible, fully open journals. See the Financial Scholarly Support page on the faculty intranet for the latest details and application form.

Faculty should evaluate journals for eligibility before submitting their work to the journal or publisher. Questions about specific journals and publishers can be directed to Prof. Chris Barnes in the University Libraries.

Requests for funding should be made after the article has been accepted for publication and before any payment is made.
