Adelphi Assistance

Financial Scholarly Support

Adelphi University offers funding to authors to help pay open access publishing fees and similar fees related to the dissemination of creative works. In addition to article processing charges (APC), authors may encounter other expenses related to publication, such as costs for illustrations, indexing, copy editing, reprints, or expenses particular to publications of creative works in other media formats such as the arts. These types of requests will be considered and supported, where appropriate. Adelphi University also provides funding for statistical consultation support for faculty research projects.

Support is capped at $2000 per article.

Requests for funding should be made after the article has been accepted for publication.

To learn more about eligibility parameters and access the application form, visit the Financial Scholarly Support page on the faculty intranet.

To read about the new agreement with Elsevier whereby the APC is waived for Adelphi authors publishing in eligible fully open journals, see the Elsevier Publishing Options for Adelphi Corresponding Authors.

If you wish to consult with University Libraries prior to submitting your work to a publication outlet, you may do so by e-mailing Prof. Chris Barnes.
