Advocate for IMLS!! IMLS Grants Halted!

Cuts to The Institiute of Museum and Library Service (IMLS) are moving forward with 85% of the federally appropriated aid to The New York State Library and the Division of Library Development funding has been withdrawn. This can have a severe impact on libraries across the states. 

The IMLS is an independent federal agency that supports libraries, archives and museums in all 50 states and U.S. territories.

Legislative Advocacy is educating policy makers and other stakeholders and making them aware of how legislation or regulation may impact the profession and ultimately their constituents.
