Interlibrary Borrowing

Adelphi University Library lends to all libraries within United States. Most items owned by the Adelphi Library, Garden City are available for loan.

We are unable to lend items located at other campus libraries of Adelphi. We accept requests from other libraries through ILLIAD and OCLC.

If you don’t use these ILL systems you may send your request by filling in ALA-ILL Request Form.

We do not send any returnable items outside of the United States.

However, we do supply photocopies of journal articles when permitted to reciprocal libraries free of charge and non-reciprocal libraries with nominal cost.

Generally the loan period is 4 weeks.

Renewals are granted for another 2 weeks, only if there is no recall or hold placed on that item.

Only one renewal request is allowed. Borrowing libraries are responsible for damaged or lost materials.

0.20 per Page for 25+ Pages

IFM, Invoices, IFLA Vouchers, Check

Damaged or lost Item:

All damaged items and lost items are determined by the actual cost of the item and includes $ 15 service fee.

Shipping:

We ship loans by USPS and LAND. UPS delivery is available upon request at the borrower’s expense. Please include your UPS account number on the request form.
Photocopies are delivered via Odyssey, email, fax or regular mail as requested.
