What Kind of Request Should I Place?

It can be tricky figuring out what type of request/hold you should place for the materials that you are looking for, especially when you need them in a pinch. Don't worry, we've got you covered!

Below are the 3 quick and easy ways to request an item

Step 1: Try searching our library catalog (Alicat and/or OneSearch) and if you find what you're looking for, place your hold

If you don't see what you are looking for there, please try step 2:

Step 2: Search the ConnectNY catalog and if you see what you need, place your hold

If you still don't see what you're looking for, that's when you take all the citation information that you have and move on to step 3:

Step 3: Complete the Smart Delivery request form

We will process your request and do our best to fulfill it within a timely manner. We will notify you of any status updates, including when the request is available, via email.
