Evaluating Information Sources

Journal Metrics are a way to identify key journals in a discipline.  A variety of characteristics are part of the algorithms that calculate the "best" journals in a field.  These tools should be used with the understanding that individual publications within a journal, however prestigious, may vary in quality.
