  • New York State Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence Domestic violence and sexual violence service providers may offer: 24-hour hotlines, legal advocacy, counseling, emotional support, information and referral services, transitional housing, emergency shelter and assistance with appointments to court or the hospital for a forensic rape exam.
  • New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence The New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NYSCADV) provides training, support, technical assistance and advocacy to local direct service domestic violence programs across New York State. NYSCADV works to create and support the social change necessary to prevent and confront all forms of domestic violence.

  • Circulo de la Hispanidad, Inc. – Salva Domestic Violence Program (516) 889-2849 - Provides non-residential domestic violence services.  OCFS Licensed and Approved.
  • L.I. Against Domestic Violence  24-Hour Hotline: 631-666-8833 Provides a range of services that help over 14,000 Long Island adults and children each year to escape from abusive relationships and build new lives. Founded in 1976, they are a regional pioneer and leader in empowering victims and survivors, providing them with shelter and support, and working with law enforcement and the community to prevent abuse.
  • The Safe Center LI (516) 542-0404 - Provides both residential and non-residential domestic violence services. OCFS Licensed and Approved.

SUFFOLK COUNTY

  • Brighter Tomorrows, Inc. (631) 395-1800 - Provides residential, transitional and non-residential domestic violence services. OCFS Licensed and Approved.
  • ECLI-VIBES Serves victims of domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault, and human trafficking. They provide a variety of services that are critical to the wellbeing of survivors – from a 24-hour Hopeline, to counseling programs, advocacy and legal assistance, Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) program, a housing program and a fully-stocked community food pantry.

  • African American Planning Commission Offers culturally specific services to African Americans
  • Allen Women’s Resource Center Allen Women’s Resource Center provides a temporary communal environment for female victims and their minor children.
  • Arab American Family Support Center Offers culturally specific services to immigrants and refugees
  • Barrier Free Living Supports survivors of domestic violence with disabilities.
  • Connect CONNECT works with NYC's communities to prevent interpersonal violence and promote gender justice.
  • Crime Victims Treatment Center Helps survivors of interpersonal violence heal. Support services include crisis intervention, individual and group trauma-focused therapy, legal advocacy, complementary therapy, psychiatric consultation, prevention training and community education. 
  • Good Shepherd Services – Safe Homes Project Works to confront and eliminate domestic and partner violence in New York City. They provide a full array of services, which include a hotline, counseling, and safety-planning.
  • HELP USA Helps those facing domestic violence or homelessness.
  • Henry Street Settlement Shelter for Domestic Violence Survivors - Provides safe refuge and onsite social services for survivors of domestic violence and their children.
  • Jewish Board Family & Children’s Services A mental health and social services agency that provides culture- and gender-affirming care to support people of all backgrounds, including the LGBTQIA+ community. 
  • Korean American Family Service Center Established in 1989 in response to the needs in the growing Korean immigrant community in New York City, the Korean American Family Service Center (KAFSC) has evolved over the past thirty plus years to become a primary dual agency that addresses domestic violence and sexual assault victims from a combined prevention and intervention perspective that remains sensitive to our cultural setting.
  • NYC Anti-Violence Project Empowers lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and HIV-affected communities and allies to end all forms of violence through organizing and education, and supports survivors through counseling and advocacy.
  • NYC HOPE Resource directory includes information about community-based organizations that work with survivors of domestic and gender-based violence in all five boroughs. 
  • New Destiny Housing A New York City nonprofit founded in 1994 to provide housing and services to survivors of domestic violence and their children.
  • Ohel Children’s Home & Family Services Founded in 1969 to provide foster care placement for Jewish families, it is now a full-service agency that meets the social and emotional needs of more than 23,000 individuals from all communities.
  • Queens Legal Services  Provides high-quality civil legal services, social work support and advocacy to low-income communities in Queens. 
  • Safe Horizon A victim assistance organization which operates a network of programs across New York City communities and systems. They work with survivors of all forms of violence, including racism, to move from crisis to confidence.
  • Sakhi for South Asian Woman Sakhi for South Asian Survivors exists to represent the South Asian and Indo-Caribbean diaspora living in America in a survivor-led movement for gender-justice by providing culturally competent direct services such as a helpline, counseling, advocacy, housing assistance, economic empowerment, food justice, elder abuse intervention, and youth programs that honor the collective and inherent power of all survivors of violence.
  • Sanctuary for Families Provides survivors of domestic violence, sex trafficking and related forms of gender violence a range of direct services to rebuild their lives in the aftermath of abuse.
  • Seamen’s Society for Children & Families – Safe Passage  Provide the highest quality services in the community to strengthen and preserve families so that children and adults have the opportunity to realize their full potential.
  • Services for the UnderServed (S:US)- formerly Palladia, Inc.  Works with over 37,000 individuals and their families every year to create pathways to rich and productive lives by offering housing, employment, skills-building, treatment, and recovery services.
  • Urban Justice Center  - Domestic Violence Project Offers holistic legal and advocacy services for survivors of intimate partner violence.
  • Urban Resource Institute Helps transform the lives of domestic violence survivors and homeless families, with a focus on communities of color and other vulnerable populations.
  • Violence Intervention Program The Violence Intervention Program is the only organization in New York City led by and for Latinx survivors of domestic and sexual violence. We provide a host of culturally affirming programs to support survivors as they recover from trauma and break intergenerational cycles of abuse and poverty.
  • Volunteers of America, Greater New York  An anti-poverty organization working to end homelessness in the New York area by 2050. They operate more than 70 programs in New York City, Westchester County, and Northern New Jersey. We serve tens of thousands of our most vulnerable neighbors each year by providing housing, health and wealth-building services to our neighbors who are experiencing, or are at imminent risk of, homelessness.
  • Womankind (formerly New York Asian Women's Center) Helps survivors of gender-based violence as they build a path to healing. Offers Asian specific services.
