If you find a good book, look at its catalog information closely.
Click on the book TITLE to see a detailed description. Doing this can often save you time. Check:
- Table of Contents - The table of contents will give you a good idea of what the book contains and what it will and will not include. This can help you decide if the source is worth pursuing.
- Subject terms (ex. Buddhist philosophy) - If a book looks useful, you can click on one of its hyperlinked Subject terms to find other books that share the same focus.
- Call number (ex. BQ5612 .S535 2014) - If a book is available in print format, you will see a call number in this detailed record. Clicking on the hyperlinked call number will show you what books are nearby on the physical library shelf.
- Sometimes the Summary statement(s) can be helpful.
