Please note that due to increasing Kanopy costs, the library switched to a "request" model at the end of the Fall 2019 semester.
What does this mean?
Kanopy was unique for Adelphi University Libraries because was our only patron-driven video platform. All other streaming media sources listed on our A-Z Databases page are annual subscriptions with set prices for unlimited viewing. Visit the library’s Streaming Media LibGuide to learn more about other streaming databases, such as Alexander Street Press's AVON.
Kanopy is a streaming video platform brought to you by the Libraries. It can be accessed from on or off campus and contains documentaries, educational, and popular films.
The library has an extensive list of Currently Licensed Kanopy Titles.
Titles on this list are available immediately and the library has already paid to make them accessible. Please watch them and enjoy! The list is updated monthly.
Faculty are encouraged to fill out the streaming media request form for any streaming title they plan to use in class or for educational purposes, including if it is currently available on Kanopy. The library will then work to make sure the film is licensed in time for the assignment and/or that a currently licensed title is not about to expire.
This page allows you to browse the entire Kanopy catalog of offerings.
